(Sophia, on airplane to NJ, recalling the movie on
Kilamanjaro which included a scene with elephant bones high up in the mountain
and the narrator’s commentary that they wondered what drove the elephants up so
high on the mountain where conditions were harsh and it was likely they would
starve)
Sophia: I
would bring them a lot of food, bread and lots of bread, and broccoli. Elephants eat leaves, too, right?
Mama: Yes, I
think so
Sophia: If I
was in that movie and they were in that movie, I’d feed them bread, broccoli
and leaves so they won’t die.
Mama: That’s
very nice of you
Sophia: And
I’d get a whole bunch of buckets and put some water in their so they can drink
it.
