While eating
breakfast with Mama (xi-fan, eggs, and su rou-song), I observed that cats like to drink milk, dogs
like to drink water and that cats like warm things (milk and mice) and dogs
like cold things (water). Mama asked me what
things do cats like? I said,
“Mice”. And Mama said, “What about dogs?”
(meaning what do dogs like?).
I laughed and
said, “Cats don’t eat dogs!”
