We were at Ruby’s Diner (Kiana’s choice since Tuesday, Thursday and Saturdays are her choice) today.  I said to 妈妈:  妈妈, when I’m a grown up, I’m going to make you spicy noodles because you like spicy noodles.”  妈妈 gushed out how sweet and thoughtful I am.

My 姐姐is also very nice to妈妈.  She chimed in:  “Yeah!  And when you are old and can’t get out of bed any more, I’ll come upstairs to your room and check on you and ask you what you want to eat, and I’ll go back downstairs and fix it for you.”

I sang a lot today and told 妈妈 she should be impressed because I can now sing “歩こう、歩こう、私は元気” (Arukou, Arukou, the theme song from Totoro) all by myself.

姐姐 and I also had a great time at library time.  Actually, we had a better time looking forward to it (singing the bean bag song in excited anticipation in the parking lot at home and walking through the underground lot and up the stairs at the library) but we really did have a fun time with the bean bag song.  We also saw Yodae again which was lots of fun.  Even though Kiana was shy, I think she enjoys seeing him.  She boasted tonight about how she protected Alana and Celina from him when he threw something at them (it sounded like gentle flirtatious throwing . . . could it be at age 4 or 5 that it’s starting!?).  She said that he didn’t listen to them but he DID listen to 油貴美 (Yukimi)!
