姐姐
(older sister, Kiana) and I asked 妈妈today a lot of questions about death. 妈妈tried to explain the concept of death. 姐姐asked whether it meant that a person was in
several pieces. I listened very
carefully and intently. When at last I
spoke, I said, “如果人死，我会保护他们” (If a person dies, I’ll
protect them). When妈妈tried to explain that you couldn’t
protect them and that you didn’t need to once they were dead, I said, “那我可以安慰他们.”
(Then, I can comfort them). Then when 妈妈told me that was really
nice of me, I added, “我也可以唱小小姑娘给他们听.” (I can also sing “xiuxiuguneurng” (the song
that I always sing to the girls to comfort them) to them).
I
was so very sweet.
We
had fun at library time tonight. Mama
let me pick out 4 books even though I’m only 3 years old so she let 姐姐 pick out 5 books since she’s 4!
