I drew this picture today. I am starting to learn a lot. I told mom that these were acorns (donguri) and balloons (fusen). I said it in Japanese.
I
identified different donguri and fusen
for different people in my family:
At first Mama thought I was distinguishing between
the ones that I seemed to put an acorn cap on as acorns and the rest balloons,
but then that rule of thumb seemed to be easily compromised. So, Mama just let me be me and name according
to my own rules! Thanks, Mama! The one that stayed consistent is that the
small one (3rd on what appears to look like a second row) was Kiana’s. I also made
one for Ye-Ye (Grandpa Rose) which seemed to maintain its status as Ye-Ye’s for most of the evening (the big one three down on the
right). Popo
and GongGong had to share one (the one on top of the
one for Ye-Ye). Mama and Baba both got
their own fusen/donguri, too!
By the way, did you know that my favorite movie
right now is “Yume Dorobo” (the Dream Thief). I get very upset at the beginning of it
because it has the same intro as The Magic Apple and I think Mama or Popo has put in the wrong tape. However, they tell me to be patient and
ultimately, I do see my favorite movie!
