Julia is showing great geographical awareness.
She has also become quite the verbal kid with excellent command of nuances and exceptional communication skills for a 9.5 year old. Occasionally on the language front (as we do even as grown-ups, example here*), there is a cute throwback to a time when verbal errors were common and hysterical. *If link is no longer good, scroll down way below.
As we are walking by the location where the restaurant Tap House Grill in Bellevue used to be located, she asked me, “Is that where your platter broke?” Yes, in fact, it was where my water broke and I went into labor with her! I think she thinks water coming from ‘that part’ of the body. She knows the word “bladder.” Bladder sounds like platter. And so below is the location where my platter broke! J
