----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My Baba got a new job and will be moving to North Dakota soon.  I will miss him very much and can’t wait until we can get there, too.  Kiana says I was cranky all day today (she got home around 12:45 pm).  I didn’t want Kiana to ever put me down.  Mama says I was really good for her from 8 am when my two Jie-Jie left for school and 11:30 am when Ayi arrived.  (Mama and Kiana are writing this webpage for me since I’m not quite old enough to write my own webpage – after all, I’m only 21 months old)  It has been a while since Mama has been able to write in my webpage for me (Emma was born on 1/8 – that could be a reason).

I can now understand lots and lots of things – in three different languages

·        motsu wo gomibako ni irete kudasai.  (I throw away Emma’s diapers for Mama after she changes her)

·        gyuunyuu hoshii?  (yes, of course, I want milk ALL the time; you don’t have to ask me twice).

·        shower?  (it sounds a little like “shua-ya” though which means “brush teeth” in Chinese)

·        in Japanese, I can identify lots of body parts:  kubi, mayuge, ashi, me, mimi, hana, kuchi, atama

·        in Japanese, I understand a number of animals/insects:  chouchou (butterfly), tori (bird), tora (tiger)

And I can even say a few things:

·        Chinese:  Mama; xiexie (thank you); bai-bai (good-bye); shu (books)

·        Japanese:  gyuu-nyuu; motto (very useful for telling my parents and sisters and Ayi -- more milk, please!); mou (one more time as in mou ikkai); nara (for good-bye or sayounara); hon (books)

·        English:  Da (daddy!); shoes (Daddy and shoes are my favorite things next to milk!)
