Mom thinks that maybe around June, I
started to understand some words and be able to respond to my first “command” –
paipaishou (clap your hands!). She’s not
completely sure though because I haven’t been very reliable.
However, for SURE now, I said my first word
(mom thinks – finally! – with a sigh of relief)! “Mao1” (猫) means cat in Chinese, and I today pointed
to Cleo and Emma and said “Mao1”! Here’s
Emma pictured below! Basically, though, any
small furry animal (including dogs) are “Mao1” to me right now!
